Shruti is a Partner and head of the Delhi office.

She leads the TMT, Start up and Data Protection practices for the firm. She regularly advises funds in their investment in the Start-up and TMT space. Prior to joining KLA, Shruti has worked across leading law firms, multinational organisations and a consulting outfit that she founded in 2016. Shruti’s main stay client support philosophy has been to make legal counsel and advise simple and implementable. In demonstrating so, she has led several path breaking projects in various accountabilities. These include the Bharti-IBM strategic IT outsourcing multi-billion-dollar deal, now a Harvard Business School case- study; establishing a ‘Legal Centre of Excellence’ for Colt Worldwide, in India; being instrumental in Amex’s foray of digital payments in India; and developing and deploying a robust governance mechanism establishing crucial controls and management reporting at Aircel.

Her 28 plus years of experience as a lawyer is a culmination of working across various genres including funds, start-ups, IT, telecommunications, private equity, venture capital, general corporate and compliance.

Shruti is actively involved in various initiatives, such as the Indian government’s Start-Up India program, where she provides mentorship to the Kerala Start-Up mission and the SIIC initiative at IIT Kanpur. Additionally, she serves as a Sub Board Member for Aspire, an automotive innovation initiative under the Ministry of Heavy Industries. Furthermore, she is a champion for impact at the Wadhwani Foundation, a philanthropic organization that supports MSMEs.

Shruti was a visiting faculty member in the year 2019 – 2020 at MICA, Ahmedabad where she taught legal aspects of business and currently conducts workshops on varied legal topics.
